Thunder chewed a 2nd hole above the patched one to “break in” to the house. I’m guessing he doesn’t like the laundry room.
In my previous post, I told you about our dog, Thunder, having some trouble appreciating where an appropriate place to relieve himself would be. It’s not anywhere inside this house, so Thunder has been assigned the laundry room for his night-time quarters. He is not stuck down there at any other time other than when we are sleeping. And he has a fluffy blanket that he has always slept on and a couple of chew toys to keep him entertained.
My husband, being the handy-man that he is, boarded up the previous hole that Thunder made in the laundry room door. Who would’ve though that such a short & stubby animal could get on his hind legs & chew even higher? While it doesn’t look that high, our laundry room steps down a good 8-9 inches, so Thunder really had to work to get this high up.
On a positive note, Thunder didn’t mess anywhere (that I can find anyway) in the house. When I came in to let him out, he was snoozing away on his dog bed in the living room (which he’s never used until now). To be honest, I’m somewhere between exasperated that he further destroyed the door & impressed at his tenacity. The fact that there’s no poop or pee to be found makes me really, really, really happy.
I’m hoping that Thunder has finally figured out this house-training thing & that my door can be made pretty again in a week or two.
Happy Tuesday!
